.Avi and .Mov is not a format, but containers.
Video is outdated. Youtube supports HD video now.
The HQ and HD options look far better than the normal SD on Youtube . It’s a step in the right direction … a huge step .
Thanks for the video . It’s great information and an important tool for teaching and is helping a lot of people get the most out of their equippment and out of their use of youtube .
Thank you so much for taking your time to help us out here.
True HD is a marketing term used by companies for the mass consumers who dont like numbers. So by definition, 720p is not True HD, but I think he was trying to say that 720p is STILL HD it is just not the highest quality HD video.
He had his point, but I think he misunderstood is own terms
I will argue that HD is HD. True HD is just a marketing term that refers to 1080p where in essence 720p is still HD. That being said, I dont think any public website will be able to stream 1080p in the nar future especially considering the ISPs dont have the infrastructure for one thing, and neither does the PC market.
I have not really re-downloaded an HD video to check if the resolution is just a high quality widescreen, but for all purposes sake it still looks good enough to be 720p
Check again, Rogaine!
The HD videos are actually compressed files that are not TRUE HD … In essence, it’s HD for the WEB … not true 1080 HD.
As usual, great information! Grazie!
Google Chrome operates with Flash, too.

Very helpful!
Sorry but 720p isn’t “trueHD” that isn’t defined until 1080p, not even 1080i but “p”…. HD used to be defined off of 480p at least some early equipment.
Seemed very outdated video idea considering youtube now allows for HD.
720p is true HD, just not the highest quality hd out there
i thought youtube was bigger than 320 x 240 now. Because of the HD option. (Now i know it isn’t true HD) but isn’t the video size bigger now? Because when you press the “HD” button it increases the window size.
