How do I convert a flash animation to HTML5?

Question by Chris: How do I convert a flash animation to HTML5?
I have a 100MB flash animation that triggers upon clicking an area of the screen. There’s no more interactivity beyond that. If I wanted to change this animation into something that’s iPad compatible (whether it’s HTML5 or something else), how would I go about doing that?

Thanks!

Depending on the complexity of the animation, Flash can export the file as a GIF. Look at the ‘Publish’ settings in Flash.

  1. Use a Canvas element. It will work on nearly every modern browser (except for Internet Explorer), including the iPad and iPhone.

It will take some doing and some programming know-how, as there are no “conversion” programs out there. But if you have the programming skills, you might be able to make it happen.
